About Lee Harding

I’ve spent more than 20 years working in recruitment, reviewing thousands of CVs, interviewing candidates and helping companies hire people across a huge range of industries.

During that time I’ve worked in agency recruitment, in-house talent acquisition and leadership roles. Today, I’m Director of Recruiter Enablement at an RPO, where a big part of my job is training recruiters.

But outside my day job, I’m probably better known for something else.

Sharing honest, practical career advice online.

Over the years, hundreds of thousands of people have watched my videos, read my articles and downloaded my resources because my advice isn’t based on theory or trends. It’s based on what I’ve genuinely seen happen after two decades of sitting on the other side of the hiring process.

I don’t believe you need a beautifully designed CV.

I don’t believe there’s a secret formula that guarantees interviews.

And I certainly don’t believe every piece of career advice on LinkedIn.

I believe most people don’t need more information. They need better information.

That’s why everything I create is designed to answer one simple question:

“What would an experienced recruiter or hiring manager actually think?”

Whether it’s a free article, an interview guide, an AI tool or a personal CV review, the goal is always the same.

To help you understand how recruiters and hiring managers really make decisions, avoid the mistakes that cost people opportunities, and give you practical advice you can actually use.

I’m also an introvert.

For years I assumed career success belonged to the loudest people in the room. The people who loved networking, speaking up in meetings and constantly promoting themselves.

Working in recruitment taught me something very different.

Some of the best candidates, leaders and professionals I’ve ever met were introverts. They simply understood how to communicate their value in a way employers could recognise.

That’s one of the reasons I started The Introverted Recruiter.

Not because my advice is only for introverts, but because I wanted to prove that you don’t need to become someone else to build a successful career.

You just need to understand how hiring really works.

If something on this website helps you get an interview, negotiate a better salary or finally land a job you’ve been chasing, then it’s done exactly what I built it to do.

Thanks for stopping by.
